Artist Bio

Gesere was born in Uruguay, South America, and currently, she is based in the UAE. For the last six years, she has been actively participating in various prestigious exhibitions and international shows. It's also worth mentioning that one of her iconic art pieces "The Flight of the Falcon" is now part of AIX's art collection on the 146th floor at Burj Khalifa.  Gesere has also been invited by Vogue UK Magazine to exhibit selected paintings. Recently, she had the honour to be invited by her embassy to achieve a Guinness World Record, along with 51 other artists from different nationalities, on the celebration of the 51st UAE National Day. 

She currently enjoys painting abstract motives. It’s a vital experience for her, where she also delights in capturing oneiric landscapes, as she calls them.

Gesere’s way of working is to free her unconscious and let the colors and textures guide her hands on the canvas. She uses a wide range of recycled tools, and techniques such as craquelure, scratch marks, and paints layer by layer to achieve the desired effect. Within the colors she chooses, a gilded bronze predominates, among other metalized colours, because it symbolizes what life in the UAE and the Emirati culture suggests to her.
